Know What To Expect for Your Focus & Relax Therapeutic Massage Visit

Mutual respect, courtesy, professionalism, confidentiality, and dignity between you, the massage therapist and bodyworkers, and Focus & Relax Therapeutic Massage employees.
Preliminary Information
-
Before every appointment, we interview every client for 10-15 min to determine if our services match the client's needs.
-
Our massage therapist/bodyworker ask preliminary questions to determine your overall health and wellness goals.
-
Our massage therapist/bodyworker will consider information about your physical condition, medical history, lifestyle, stress levels, medications, and any areas of physical pain that could affect your massage therapy outcome.
-
The information we receive from our intakes and discussions assist our massage therapist/bodyworker with creating a thorough treatment plan to help you heal, relax, release, and achieve total body wellness through therapeutic massages, stretching, and health and wellness mindfulness coaching.
Setting the Tone
-
Your voice is essential; always tell our massage therapist/bodyworker if you are uncomfortable without the fear of not being heard.
-
Tell our massage therapist/bodyworker if you're uncomfortable with anything or want to cancel your service anytime, and your request will be honored. Do not suffer in silence.
-
Tell our massage therapist/bodyworker if you find the temperature uncomfortable or the music distracting or want to change genres.
-
The same goes for talking during your session. Communication is vital, but not if it doesn't bring peace during your session.
-
Our massage therapist/bodyworker will never engage in conversation unless they need to verbally check on pressure level, techniques, or anything regarding your services to ensure your satisfaction.
-
If talking during your session brings comfort or ease, feel free to converse with our massage therapist/bodyworker; they will engage but not overshare, for this is your time to relax and unwind, and we are here to uphold and honor that.
Modesty is Privacy
-
Before your massage and during the interview, you'll be asked if there are any areas you'd like to be avoided or focused on during services. This establishes boundaries between you and the massage therapist and bodyworker.
-
Once boundaries and concerns have been established, our massage therapist and bodyworker will escort you to one of our treatment rooms and give further instructions, such as instructing you on how to get on the table and explaining disrobing to your comfort level. No, you do not have to be completely undressed.
-
Most massage therapist/bodyworker techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, you may decide what clothing you prefer to wear throughout your session, a.k.a; your comfort level. You will be covered appropriately throughout your entire session.
-
After instructions are given, our massage therapist/bodyworker will leave the room so you can disrobe and get on the massage table underneath the provided sheets and blanket, which will cover your entire body. And after you've received your service, our massage therapist or bodyworker will also leave the room so you can redress in peace.
-
Privacy is essential, but so is comfort. Suppose you're unsure or uneasy about your appointment. In that case, we encourage you to ask all the questions you need to bring clarity, or we suggest getting someone willing to help comfort you and not hinder your massage and bodywork experience. Remember, this time is reserved for you and only you.
